Italy is a squared wheel that does not rotate. This is the image used by Censis in its 2020 report to describe Italy. Censis is an Italian research institute, founded in 1964; every year it publishes an account about the social condition of the country. The 54th report, released on the 4th of December, is an unforgiving portrait that sheds light on the devastating effects of the epidemic on the Italian economy and society. “Frightened, indolent, uncertain amidst a mix feeling of resentment and hope: this is Italy in the year of black fear, the year of Covid-19”.
The infographic shows some highlights from Chapter : La società italiana al 2020.
